As of January 1, 2015, Comcast no longer issues physical stock certificates. All new shares will be issued electronically in book-entry form Direct Registration Shares (“DRS”). DRS eliminates both the physical handling and safekeeping responsibilities inherent in owning physical stock certificates and the need to return a duly executed stock certificate to effect a transfer of your shares. What will I receive as proof of ownership of my shares now that Comcast no longer issues certificates?

Statements of ownership will be sent to all shareholders upon confirmation of any share transaction.

I have requested certificates before, why can't I now?

As of January 1, 2015, Comcast no longer issues physical stock certificates. The securities industry is moving away from paper stock certificates due to security reasons and the costs associated with replacing certificates. Additionally, holding your shares in electronic format enables you to transact more quickly.

Am I required to submit my certificate(s) now that Comcast no longer issues certificates?

No action is required by you at this time. If you would like to deposit your certificates for safekeeping and conversion to DRS, you can mail the original certificates to our transfer agent at:

You will need to include a letter instructing EQ Shareowner Services to deposit the shares into DRS. We recommend sending the certificate(s) insured for 2% of the market value. What if I hold shares with my broker and want to move them to my Comcast account?

What is CCZ?

CCZ is not a class of stock, but rather a listed debt security of Comcast Holdings Corporation (a subsidiary of Comcast Corporation) and is guaranteed by Comcast Corporation. CCZ is a 2% Exchangeable Subordinated Debenture due 2029 (ZONES) that trades on the NYSE and is exchangeable for cash based on the value of Sprint Corporation common stock (S) and CenturyLink, Inc. common stock (CTL).
